Quiz

10 Oct 2021

Thank you SO much to everyone who came to support the club at the quiz last night. We were overwhelmed to see so many of you.

Overall, we made at least £410 for the club. To put that into perspective, that's almost 30 match balls that we won't have to find the money for next season.

At the end, The Pheasant Pluckers team of the Reavey Family, augumented by the Yates', Nick Loftus and Goody, narrowly saw off a huge team of West Wycombe-ites to take the (rather alcoholic) prize.

The Nots Landers, a collective of Sutherlands, Landers and Ray Sippett, won the prize for the team with the most points on the cricket-related rounds, kindly donated by our president Ian Jones.

Last but not least, Team Deadwood took home a dozen ducks as a reward for their efforts.

Huge thanks to the people who did the really important things: Jane for doing all of the boring admin stuff to ensure that we could run the event at all (and for buying the drinks); James, Richard and Will for running the bar; Jamie for giving up his break from work to act as doornan; and of course to Caro for not only keeping the scores but making sure that everything ran in the correct order on the night.

I'll hopefully speak to you all again once I get my voice back. In the meantime, please do make sure you come to the remaining evening of the year:

20th October - AGM

6th November - Golf Day

19th November - Dinner Dance

11th December - The Big Night Out
