Penn Street Juniors Under 9s Tournament at Winchmore Hill

What an amazing day of cricket.

Congratulations to the our U8s for coming Runners Up in the U9s competition. We're incredibly proud of their great play today and our super team spirit as always; they are a brilliant little team.

I was jotting down highlights all day and I'm left with a list too long for a single report! Our batting and bowling was strong all day, hitting some big boundaries and restricting the opposition runs. The stand out note on my list is "fielding masterclass" from our semi final against Beaconsfield. All the team were so on it in that game and it exemplified our day, working together to pick up the most run outs I've ever seen!

Picking up 3 wins against clubs with a more extensive pool of players to call on is a fantastic achievement. We pushed Holmer Green's first team close in the final and, on this form, have a great chance to go one step further at Wooburn next week...!
