Pavillion Revamp at the Hits or Misses Ground

Pavillion Revamp at the Hits or Misses Ground

With the Penn Street Hits or Misses taking over the lease on the old Hit or Miss ground, it gave us a good opportunity to give the old pavillion a lick of paint and a spruce up ready for the season ahead!

The Penn Estate kindly reclad the whole pavillion and installed new windows over the winter, then it was over to us. Across the course of two Sundays, we had work parties out, cleaning windows, painting the changing rooms, doing a spot of gardening to get the building and the ground back to looking her best after a season off.

It can't be a cricket pavillion without cricket memorabilia! The original Hit or Miss Cricket Club got some of their club photographs framed for us to display in the changing rooms, and we put up their old honours board in the kitchen. Although they as a club are not playing anymore, we are so pleased to have their support, and be able to have some memories of our closest friends and rivals up on the walls!

How good do we look? All ready for our open day this weekend, 12th April, 11-2. Pop up and meet us, and maybe for a slice of cake!
